Many members post that their Anti Virus programs report that they cannot remove particular files for a number of reasons, such as:
Selected object is located inside the archive and cannot be healed; access is denied; or other similar messages.
In many cases, the reason for this is that Windows ME and XP may well have archived the virus or trojan in System Restore.
If you are getting messages like this, then it is suggested that you temporarily disable System Restore. By disabling System Restore, you effectively delete the files created by system restore, thereby removing the threat.
Disabling or enabling Windows Me System Restore
Disabling or enabling Windows XP System Restore
Once you have disabled System Restore, run the anti virus scan again, and when you are happy that the infection has been cleared, re-enable system restore and create a new restore point.
