Hi there, I;ve been doing web dev (asp javascrip flash) and some design for last 2 years. I'm looking to move on into a new job, does anyone think i'll need a portfolo for the last 2 years for a web dev job? Alot of my work was on a company intranet, and thus is hard to portfolio....
thoughts?

If you could put a portfolio together, and present this during an interview for a new job, it can't do any harm. If it's presented well, it could make all the difference to whether you are considered for the job. Even though your past work was on a company intranet, surely you must have something to show, if not, between you and I (plus everyone else) copy your work, and save for a rainy day.

I would get as much of your work together as you can and create a portfolio. If an employer can actually see what your capable of it boosts your chances no end.
If possible you should consider creating a portfolio on CD-ROM that can be sent along with any applications you make and a paper version to take along to an interview.

I'd suggest you take lots of screen shots and grab as much code as you can to present to future employers.
If you are going to Web designer jobs then a portfolio is essential.
