If you have more than one window / program open at any one time and need to keep on going between them, hold down ALT and press the TAB key. A box will appear with an icon of all the open windows / programs. Just keep on pressing tab until the one you want is highlighted. I use this all the time at work when I have to take information from one program to put on another then I only have two programs running so as soon as I hit ALT / TAB the next program pops up.

Manxislander it's a brilliant tip. I know it's been mentioned before, but I bet there are a load of new people to the forum who will appreciate you posting it. (Guys why not register with the forum and post your own hint!)
I noticed if you hold down the ALT key you can toggle through the open windows with the Tab key and there is a description of each window on the ALT/TAB menu too to help you select the window you need.
As Manxislander says, if it's simply a case of flicking between two windows (perhaps for editing reasons, or copy and pasting things between 2 places) hitting ALT/TAB and releasing again works a treat.

NEVER worry about repeating someone's post. I'd much rather see a handy tip twice than miss it entirely!

The only problem I'll have is remembering it. I know, I'll save it! Madeline.

I keep a little book by my computer - and when I read about a good tip - I jot it down. Comes in really handy!

Good idea, Teresa. I save mine to a Notepad, but I might write them down as well. Madeline.
