Cable connection is what I have...known as broadband in the UK, I believe. It's a cable as in your TV hookup. ADSL is a designated phone line which is also supposed to be fast. I have ADSL at work and cable at home.. and MUCH prefer cable's quickness and reliability! Check here... http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/A/ADSL.html

ADSL and Cable are both broadband connections.
Cable is only available from cable TV providers, so is only in limited areas.
ADSL is what most braodband users have, and is supplied over a telephone line thats been fitted with extra equipment. ADSL isnt available everywhere but is far more widespread than cable
ADSL is available in a variety of speeds - 150k, 256k, 512k, 1meg, 2meg, and possibly faster in some areas.
Not sure about cable speeds.

Their are two cable providers in the UK, NTL and Telewest. NTL currently offer 300kb, 750kb and 1.5mb. Telewest are offering 256kb, 750kb, 1.5mb and 3.0mb.

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really? Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.

The cable company claims that it's 100 times faster than dial-up.
