We're gonna need a whole lot more info than that, Vi.
(1) Make and Model no. of camera. (2) Operating System (3) Which software is he using to download his photos? (4) What, if any, error messages?

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really? Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.

Tell him to disconnect the camera, go into Device Manager and delete anything that relates to the camera. Go to this page and download the Camedia software. I would suggest he needs the TWAIN driver. Reboot the PC and install the driver software. Reboot the PC again and then connect the camera. The PC should now find the new hardware and install the drivers.
