I have just installed sygate pf on windows xpp,when I sign on to aol I get this message;Generic Host process for win32 services is trying to broadcast using remote port 1900 ssdp.do I want to allow this? also similar message concerning messanger hotmail which I have.Please can anyone advice?
Generic Host process for win32 services doesn't require access to the internet, the only problem I have with blocking it is that my computer clock won't update. Every week or so I change the status to ask update the clock and change back to block. As for the hotmail program you've got to give it access or you won't be able to read your mail. You can alter the status by simply right clicking an application and selecting which option you require.
