I am planning to spend sometime abroad without access to telephone lines . Are there any systems available to connect my laptop to the Internet that are totally mobile. I have asked in mobile telephone shops but the spotty yoofs do not appear to understand what I'm looking for.
If you get the right mobile phone (one that connects to your PC either through a cable, InfraRed or Bluetooth) then you are halfway there. You then need an ISP who will accept calls from a mobile phone (most of them will). You can then setup a dialup connection through your mobile to your ISP just like an ordinary connection. Two HUGE drawbacks though. Maximum connection speed will be 9.6kb and your t/p bill will be astronomical.
Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really? Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.
depends where you go. In major cities there are lots of coffee shops like starbucks etc that provide free wireless access. All you need to do is find a free hot-spot and a wi-fi card
AMD 3000+ (3.06ghz) 1024 MB DDR RAM 256MB XFX graphics card creative 5.1 surround sound card WinXp Pro (SP2) 1MB broadband connection
I assume that as he said he won't be anywhere near a telephone line he won't be anywhere near a WiFi hot spot either.
