My partner is looking to get a new computer for her room and up till now she hasn't due to lack of room for one, but I have been looking into these new Shuttle/SSF computers which have been written about alot in MICRO MART.
I was wondering if anyone has/used one of these and can give me their opinion of them.
Don't rely on my advice in totality, but I have seen one in action and it was a nice little bugger!
They are small and compact so they don't look out of place in either your bedroom or your living room. The latest ones available today are capable of handling the latest games and work just as hard as any top-end desktop PC system. If you are looking for a machine for games, look for one with an athlon64 processor. For multi-tasking e.g. office programs and such intel based units do the job well.
My opinion of them is the same as it would be of a desktop system with the advantage of them being invisible or part of the decor!
We have looked around the sites you linked too and like the look of them, but we found the system my partner is going for here is the link to if anyone is interested
I think its a good little system it may only have on-board graphics but my partner isn't that bother with games although she does do abit of drawing with a couple of graphic packages now and again and there is a spare AGP port if a new graphics card is needed.
