I'd need to add a hyperlink to my site which simply goes 'back', instead of specifying an excact location for the link to direct to. How would I do this?

You'll need to use this
javascript
rather than html, though you may notice a similarity
<a href = "javascript:history.back()"> back </a>

The link appears to work only within a single page e,g, Back To Top etc. Is there a similar javascript to take you back a page.
Thanks
Joe.

Try this then:
<a href="javascript:history.go(-1)">back</a>

Thanks Putasolutions,
That works a treat and ideal for a little project I am doing. I'm sure it will resolve Alex's question as well.
