A Photographic site about Derby and Derbyshire.
      #79637 - Fri Jun 18 2004 02:04 PM

Hi,
I am a self-taught website designer, I have been creating we pages since 1997 when I first got Internet access. For the last three years I have been devoting just about all of my spare time to developing a non-profit making website promoting my local area.

My site started off in 2001 as just a few photos on my free personal web space, which I took from the top of Derby Cathedral. Over time the site grew and expanded beyond belief and I bought a domain name and hosting for it. I am encouraged by the high level of feedback I get, which you can see in the extensive guest books. I never seem to get time to stand back and look at what I have created.

I am truly amazed by just how popular my site has become, last year it received over 80,000 visitors. This year looks like it’s going to beat that by a long way as I am currently getting around 600 visitors every day.
There’s not just normal photos but also night-time, old, panoramic, then and now etc. Even if you are not interested in Derby you will probably like the Then and now photos which I have created.

I will soon be launching a Broadband Enhanced section, which will allow visitors to view high-resolution 360-degree images, Virtual tours, slide shows, videos etc
I am just doing the finishing touches to it now.

Anyway please take a look around my site and let me know what you think.

My site is :

Best wishes

Hi Andy,

I like your site and you sure have put plenty of effort into it!
I hope the peole in the area are grateful. The only slight critisism I have is about the fixed line drawing in the background of the pages, as it makes some of them a bit of a strain to read. Apart from thast it's great.

A brilliant site. Well done. I have to agree with Bohimeon though about the fixed background image, it is distracting.
I love puta as much as I love this forum

my forum now upgraded.
