i have recently signed onto NTL broadband, i have an email account with them, but to access it i have to use the one on the internet, is there a way i can download all of my emails using outlook express.

ntlworld settings
I think the e-mail settings here should work. If they don't wait until tomorrow for Hello_There or Bricat (if he's recovered hehe), they'll do the business unless there is another NTL user online.

Dave, welcome to the Forum 
ourstanley's link to NTL does give you the correct e-mail settings (thanks for the link  )
Before you do anything, have you checked OE, as usually e-mail account details are automatically added to Outlook Express during NTL's BB set up.
Please don't worry if it didn't, it's very easy to set up and you're welcome to come back here and ask for any help if needed.

**If you're not sure how to check if it's already set up, open up Outlook Express, click on Tools | Accounts, if your details are listed under the Mail tab in the Internet Accounts box that comes up, then it's already set up.

If you cant find ntl in the accounts when you open it up in tools in OE try this
First open OE
Click tools
Click accounts
Click add
Click mail
Your name should now be in view click next
Your email should now be in view click next
In server type pop.ntlworld.com (lower case)
In smtp type smtp.ntlworld.com (lower case)
Click next
Type in password
Click next
Click finish
Click close
Close all OE windows and reopen OE everything should now be working
ME/IE6/OE6/Preventon/Spybot/Adaware/Spywareblaster/HyJackThis/Spywareguard/cwshredder
failure is not an option! It comes bundled with the software
