Web Host \ Builder 4 Charities etc
      #76978 - Wed Jun 09 2004 07:12 PM

Hi,

I've recently created a website for a local community project in Rochester, Kent. BT and IK ltd have a web hosting and web building service which is FREE, so long as you are a non-profit organisation, like a charity or local community.

I'd never created a website before and this was really easy! I just wanted to share this information with everyone here.

Go to : http://www.communitykit.ik.com/ to see if you meet the criteria.
Go to: http://www.copperfieldwild.ik.com to see my attempt!

Barmybint x

Hi,

I like the green look. I also liked your guestbook and I tried to leave a message but nothing showed up ?? Is there a delay ? Was the guestbook also set up using the community site builder ?

Thanks for the tip, which no doubt will be useful to lots of voluntary groups. I've a couple of comments on your own site.

The weblink categories in brown on green are a bit difficult to read in some monitors in certain lights.

I am also not personally keen on animated .gif images. This may be me, but there is something a bit irritating about them...

As you are community based, could you think about having an online community forum as well?

Good luck, and I hope that the land remains green for many generations to come!

Best wishes, Will
