does anyone else have incredimail and run the avg e-mail scanner on it?????
if so can they please post and tell me how they set it up as i thought i got it done and i didnt.

I may be corrected but I don't think AVG supports Incredimail.

i cant get the scanner to work at all so it don't work with incredimail, and as for the spy-ware etc on incredimail try telling my wife she loves it

It does not work with incredimail, Most Anti Virus programs that i have used work with any pop email client but the free avg version and avg email scanner only work with certain programs.

I run Incredimail Premium build 1488 with AVG Professional v7 and although a silver surfer set it up and it worked first time. ( the free version I could not get working!) All incoming mail is checked, text messages have a little note at the foot with the virus database number used for the check and HTML messages have a small attachment which tells you the same thing. AVG site has a dummy virus you can download for testing purposes. The AVG Pro is an excellent item. I beta test for Incredimail and recently whilst testing had over 2000 emails in 24 hours passing through this setup without mishap. Ignore all the comments made about spyware and adaware with Incredimail!
The only problem with Incredimail is that it is very hungry with resources.

Well I for one have never suggested that Incredimail contains spyware and adaware. The problem with it is that when its working its fine but suddenly it will play up and screw up the pc. I used it on and off for a year before giving up on it. I know loads of others that have had similar problems.

I use incredimail and love it! I also read somewhere that it does not contain any spyware, but reading all of this has got me worried. I tried Mozilla Thunderbird and was not very happy with that, it's too time consuming to download themes and extra things, whereas with Incredimail it's dead easy. I have recently started to get error messages in the junk and unapproved folder, but they are not a major problem. contacted vip support (I am a paying customer), but have not managed to sort it out. I use a programme called Mailcleaner which is compatible with Incredimail.

once the problems start they can escalate, anyone i know who has used it has ended up with problems. when the got rid of it the problems stopped, bit of a coincidence.?
