I want to put a quick search facility on one web page, is this very complicated?

I find Pico seach great for a site search, if thats what your after. Its just a case of adding some html to your page, then getting it to index your site.

Hi Gollum.

Thanks for providing that. Unfortunately the link isn't working right now, may be a server side problem so I'll try again in a day or so.

Once again thanks for your help.

No probs.. Free find do one as well. Google used to have a site search faciilty, but I cant find it at the mo. The picosearch link does work at the moment, but was very slow when I tried it. Could be having problems like you say.

Gollum

Thanks Gollum & Wiggster, got there in the end. I guess it was just busy when I tried.

Many thanks indeed for your help.

I have tried both Freefind and Google. Freefind is excellent for the amount of customisation it allows you and scheduling of how often you want your site indexed. Google is only any good if they have already indexed all your pages, but doesn't match Freefind in its abilities.

I've not tried Pico on a site myself but I have used it on other sites and I find it is often slow and not as good as the previous two.

Hi Webby,

I've applied for Pico now, I'll see how it goes.

Many thanks for the advice.
