100 % ping loss

using windows xp, and with freeserve broadband. cannot access any pages on the net, only msn messanger and outlook for emails.

freeserve have done a ping test and say we've got 100% ping loss

told to call microsoft butt theyre closed all w/end, and ideas anyone

I would hope so if your firewall was working correctly

Start with this

Go to start | Run
type in cmd
type in ping 127.0.0.1

You SHOULD get a 100% response

then type ping 194.106.56.38

Post back the results of both tests

Have you recently added your PC to a network? I did not long ago and the only way to sort it was to reinstall, all i could access was outlook and some pages on IE

Sorry for delay in getting back, been busy, anyway problem all sorted now, unistalled, and reinstalled internet explorer and all seems to be well
