A friend has emailed a spreadsheet to me which I can open, but can't amend as its password protected and guess what, he cant remember the password!
Is there any way around this? I've found an excel password remover on google but how safe is this to use?
Cheers

I think that the password removers are mainly for file that protected so that you can't open them, rather than can't amend them.
I've never been in this position but will it let you select all (just click the little square between A and 1 outside the spreadsheet) copy and paste into another excel file?

Copy the entire contents to a new Excel file and use that.

Like Chris Tarrant says "it's only easy when you know the answer" Glad it's sorted.
