I'm wishing to change my ISP from Freeserve Anytime to V21. I had Freeserve for £9.99 for 3 months and I will have to pay £14.99 per month instead of the £13.99 quoted. Does anyone else use V21? If so do you recommend them? Can anyone recommend any other ISP's?

Hi, if it is of any use, after my initial ISP of tesco net (1p per min), I joined V21, it was a nightmare, it took a great many attempts to log on, so, decided upon Freeserve Anytime, fingers crossed, I get on first time every time. So we are in reverse. Two things, my son is with V21 and has no problems, and secondly, I too would recommend ispreview. I suppose really, the time you spend on the net and the time of day or night, could make you savings. I think it is www.charitydays which provide a service for something like £7.99 for 20 hours a week, that equates to 3 hrs a day. You can use the 20 hours whenever you wish. Let us know what you decide.

i found that V21 was a pain as logging in took ages. I recommend an internet company called gio internet (www.giointernet.co.uk) all though you might not have heard of them they are one of the leading internet isps with broadband at 512k at 18.95 a month! and there dial up service (56k) for 7.99 a month which allows 50 hours a month

50 hours per month must be one of the worst deals out there. Now theres a challenge. Who can find the worst deal going?

My son uses NTL dial up - £10 p.m. - I'm not sure whether you can sign up without having either their phone or tv package, so you'd have to check on that. It's a great ISP, he never has a problem getting online. I use NTLs "slower" broadband at £17.99 p.m. and that's also terrific. (Theres a reason why we've not connected both computers up to the b/band for the time being.) Also, I connected my father to Virgin's ISP (£13.50 p.m.) - also very good with no problems in getting online.
