I was using AOL and I decided to take the plunge and upgrade to broadband, but due to some incompetence from AOL (not billing me and then blaming me when I phone to ask why they have not taken any money, etc) I gave them the proverbial elbow.
I am now looking for another ISP to order broadband from but I was wondering do I have to go through the process of waiting for the broadband package to arrive because I still have the broadband pack that AOL gave me.
When I got the pack I received a BT Voyager 100 USB modem in the pack and my phone line was set up to receieve Broadband.
My question is do I still have to go though the process of waiting for the new ISP company to set up my line and send me a pack?
Thank you. :)

Not as easy as it seems, it is known as ISP migration Not all ISPs support it, and AOL may well be one of them
All Broadband connections are assigned a unique reference number so that BT can identify a customer regardless of which provider they are with. This reference is called the CBUK number. It always begins with the letters CBUK followed by eight digits eg"CBUK87654321". Most ISPs will give you this number on request, oyhers are notoriously difficult
Once you have got that code, you can apply to your new ISP, who can use this code to get you up and running on B/B

It sounds as if you've terminated your contract before the end of the 12-month period. You'll probably find that the broadband modem and filters only belong to you if you finish the 12-month term.
Also, if you've ended your contract with AOL, then it's too late to "migrate" to another ISP and you'll have to wait the usual time period to be reconnected.

Thank you both for the advise.
I know it sounded like a dumb question but I honestly did not know. :)
Thanks again.

There is no such thing as a dumb question! just a question you don't the answer to
If we knew it all, there'd be no need for sites like this!
