Have a look at this, crisp_biscuit
Please post your query to the boards as many hands make light work, and I'm not talking electricians! If your problem is solved, let us know so that others can learn.

I'm also (hopefully, when they get it sorted out) transferring my domain from 1&1 to Blade Host - who I'm thinking of getting hosting from (any reccommendations??).

I've noticed 1&1 arn't too helpful - but their domains are cheaper!

Also, I want to create my own basic messageboard - to integrate with my web site - where people can make threads and post within them (in other words, a scaled-down version of this forum). Any ideas??

As for the form, can't you find the mail program used on your server (normally in the control panel - something like SendMail) and add it to the properties of your form? Thats if you've inserted the form and objects.

for hosting suggestions take a look at the resources section here: www.88template.co.uk/reources.html

"I've noticed 1&1 arn't too helpful - but their domains are cheaper!"

be careful as moving your domains away from 1&1 has been known to be very difficult as they like to charge for it.

Most CPanel (i.e. linux based) account come with a bulletin board like phpbb ready to install for free. Look for it (sometime under a package called fantastico which covers many free scripts) in the account specifications.
