Hi, I have been using tesco.net for over a year, but recently every time I log on there is quite a long wait while the dialler is being updated. Why does this happen every day, sometimes several times a day? I have to wait to go to websites until I get the message "dialler update successfully downloaded." Thanks for any advice.

Try creating a manual setting for your PC using the instructions from here , delete the old connection in network and dial up connections and setting the new connection as default

thanks for the info, I quite understand it, but will the phone number you have quoted still be the free number for Tesco.net 24/7 service? I don't want to have to pay just to get rid of the problem! Many thanks

use the same number as your existing dialer uses - you can [probably] see this when you 1st try and dial up using it
