search the web

When I open Freeseve half the page is taken up by Search The Web which that half can be closed but I can be looking at other sites and it will open up with a full screen and no means to close it down other than go to control,alt ,del how do I get rid ?

If Freeserve is your homepage and that is the problem you can change this. In Internet Explorer click on Tools|Internet Options. Now click "Current Page" if that is the page you wish to use as your home page. I personally use "Blank" as it doesn't take long to load up.

As to the full screen, try pressing the "F11" key on your keyboard.

My apologies if I am misunderstanding the problem.

try this, go to view | explorer bar
Uncheck Search

Thank you for your help it seems it solved the problem I can now open my homepage without search the web taking over
