Hello,
After having a few months now of using popup blocker software, I seem to have only found one that does the job, and it's free; this is panicware's software. The problem with this is it also act's as a cleaning utility, and I already have a decent one; and since then, have tried and searched for a good free popup blocker.
I was wondering, and was very curious if the user's of the forum could recommend a good; free; quality popup blocker, that only blocks popups, and does nothing else.
Thanks for your time!

Puzzled by your "cleaning utility" remark! I have been using Panicsware's pop up stopper for quite some time, and have no complaints at all!

I quite like the Smart Pop up Killer available from firstnetsoft.com

I've used Pop Up Stopper for ages, and the only complaint I've got is that if I have it set to start up when Windows starts, it doesn't work. For some reason it has to be the last thing started.
Nowadays though, I find Web Washer does pretty much the same job and more, so I only use Pop Up Stopper with sites that don't display properly with Web Washer.

Hi Chris,
I use Slim Browser which has a built-in pop-up blocker which you can disable on a site by site basis. It is fully compatible with IE using the same Options setup & Favourites folder, plus a bundle of functions that IE doesn't (yet) offer.

I have found the new Google Toolbar and it's built in pop stopper absolutely superb. I especially like the ability to take certain pages out of the Stop function. This is great when using websites like http://www.pogo.com where all the games come via a pop up.

Agree completely. The new Google toolbar is brilliant. I also like the autofill feature.

Free yourself from the outdated IE and try Firebird (or Mozilla or Opera) with it's built in pop up stopper, tabbed browsing & an altogether more productive & enjoyable surfing experience. No need to hold down CTRL ala Panicware either. Everything's done for you leaving you to surf happily.

No worries Brian, glad you found it of use
It seems only fair to pass on such 'gems' when one comes across them. You'll also find that they issue regular updates as and when needed.
