All codes should be entered without spaces between the brackets and the tag name.
[ b ] text [ /b ] = bold. [ i ] text [ /i ] = italic. [ smal l] text [ /small ] = Makes the given text small. [ email ] joe@blow.com [ /email ] = clickable email address eg sample@sample.com. [ image ] url [ /image ] = Shows the picture. [ image=link ] url [ /image ] = Makes the picture a clickable link. [ pre ] text [ /pre ] = Uses pre tags to preserve layout. [ quote ] text [ /quote ] = Offsets the block (for replies, code etc). [ url ] link [ /url ] = Makes the given url into a clickable link. [ url=link ] description [ /url ] = Only the url's description shows.
[ smile ] = [ frown ] = [ wink ] = [ crazy ] = [ mad ] = [ shocked ] = [ cool ] = [ blush ] = [ laugh ] =
[ red ] text [ /red ] = Makes the given text red. [ green ] text [ /green ] = Makes the given text green. [ blue ] text [ /blue ] = Makes the given text blue. [url ]www.webuser.co.uk[/url ] but without the space between the l and the bracket will give you http://www.webuser.co.uk, or [url =www.webuser.co.uk]webuser[/url ], likewise without the space between l and the =/bracket, will give you webuser. You can insert any text, such as 'click here', where I have typed webuser. Hope this helps, try it out, if you put a tick in the box 'I want to preview my post' you can preview your post to check if your link works. Good luck

Using the image tag ([image]http://www.webuser.co.uk/images/logo.gif[/image]) you can show a screen grab, though the file must be hosted elsewhere online, and be narrower than 600 pixels.

Any images wider than 600 pixels should either be reduced before posting, or linked-to via the URL tag ([url=http://www.webuser.co.uk/images/logo.gif]Click to view[/url]).

The only way to get it to appear on this forum is to get it hosted; try Walagata, amongst others, or your own space (most ISP's provide some).
And, if HTML wasn't disabled, you'd still need to host your image online for it to show!

I found out recently that stuff can be resized on Walagata, so if you use them for image hosting, that's a useful feature. Madeline.
