My daughter bought a second hand laptop.
It is a bit hit and miss getting it to start up, the local computer shop said the hard drive might be on it's way out. I put Microsoft Word on it for her and around that time we started to get a message saying Windows software did not pass genuine validation, although previously it had not said that, I took Word off but it still says Windows is not genuine.
Now it will no longer connect to the wireless router. It cannot "see" the router and it says to make sure the wireless switch is on. We have found a switch on the front which gives an orange light when it is on but still can't connect.
Anyone any ideas? It's as though the wireless ability is not working anymore. It connects ok with a cable. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks.
