I heard about it or something similar before. The idea is that bids start at 0p which is obviously very attractive. Items can seem to go for incredibly stupidly low amounts.
The 'rub' is you PAY to bid. Also all bids are subject to VAT and a 'processing charge' so it is one of those things you can never really be too sure what something is costing you as you can bid like mad and never win.
In effect they do not really make money off the items, but off the cost of the bids.
There seem to be happy people who have dealt with it but these are all on the site.
It's a bit like a lottery and you could probably compare it with those phone in channels on TV where you call a Premium Rate number, go into a 'pool' with others then one gets picked, the others get kicked off and have to call again.
Other comments I have read suggest it is VERY hard to win anything so trying hard to win something will most likely mean you end up paying what it is worth in bid fees.
At the end of the day, it looks too good to be true, doesn't it? And you know what they say................
