New graphics card, which one?
      #440886 - Mon Oct 26 2009 05:10 PM

Hi all.
I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction.
I don't do a lot of gaming so top end isn't needed. I want to have a HDMI output on it so I can hook it up to my HD TV via various players.
Has anyone got any ideas??
cheers, Jezz

Can you Post what type of card you have currently Download SIW which does not install this will tell you what the Make and Model Number of the Motherboard is then we have have a clear Idea what to recommend
If your Card is an AGP or an PCI-E slot this will be shown on the SIW display
More details and Download here www.gtopala.com
Also shout out what RAM you Have and How much money you want to splash out

This 512MB card will exceed the specs of your Current Card
and you won't have to install a new Driver as its another ATI card (Update maybe later? )This card has HDMI and is Direct X10.0 capable. Most of this generation cards are Direct X9.0
So you can Show just about anything (May outperform your Monitor?)

VTX 3D HD 4650 AGP 512MB Graphics card
Price: £44.95 exc. VAT
£51.69 inc. VAT
http://tinyurl.com/vtxhd4650 from Aria Conputers Manchester
There are 1GB versions but they are asking about £60 and upwards
Get a straight swap for your 256K Card then the Price will be about the £35-38 range and I don't think you'd find a HDMI enabled card, have to fit an adapter

Had a look at another source Scan Computers in Bolton Similar spec card HD3650
Their Reference: LN25990 www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=937024

£40.97 Ex VAT
£47.12 Inc VAT

The total does not include delivery costs which vary wildly
Always cheaper if you buy several Items together
