A lot of eBay changes have been for the buyer's benefit, and frankly some of them have been a long time coming in order to match Distance Selling Regulations.
However, many changes have hit sellers with drops in sales and the like.
Today however, a bit of kickback - and if you are a buyer on eBay you should take note.
Previously you had Seven Days to pay for an item before a seller could start an Unpaid Item Dispute (commonly called UPIs). Today that changed to Four days and whereas a buyer then had eight days after that before a seller could lodge a claim for their Final Value Fee back and put an Unpaid Item Strike on the buyer, this has also been reduced to four.
Nice to see something back last - waiting for payment is a drag as you cannot relist, you have already paid eBay it's fee and some buyers vanish for days on end before they respond.
But obviously for buyers, make sure you pay fast!

I can never understand why it takes buyers days and days to pay/contact the seller, unless they are away of course.
If I am bidding on something and win I usually pay within 24 hours of the auction ending.
