I have recently reinstalled Firefox on my laptop. I have saved some bookmarks on the bookmark toolbar and I have the Smart Bookmarks Bar add on.
The problem I have is that none on the bookmark website icon thingys are showing up, so its difficult see what website I'm looking for. Anyone know what the problem is?

If the Websites you have bookmarked don't have a 'Favicon', they can't show up as anything but a standard default 'blank' icon.
However, if you were to save say Webuser as a bookmark and it's not showing at the time of saving, click on the bookmark to revisit the website and it should then show in the bookmark menu as the icon.
Repeat this with all the other bookmarks.
If your still having no shows, disable the 'Smart Bookmarks Bar' Add-On to see if it makes a difference.

Unfortunately, Ive tried those things. The favicons weren't showing up before I installed the Smart add on, and I have tried clicking on them all till the website loads (this has worked in the past on previous installs) but this time.....nothing!
Is it worth uninstalling Firefox and trying again?

It's always worth a try. However, if you haven't already used -->>CCleaner<<-- I would download it and run the 'cleaner' only (not the registry cleaner) on you system. Then try each bookmark again to see if the favicons appear. I use this program at least once a week and recently when new bookmarks have stubbornly refused to show, they always have done when the site is revisited after running the tool to clean out the Browser cache and cookies. You can also try from the Firefox Menu Bar: Tools -> Options -> Clear Recent History.
