monitor not found

Help please i have windows XP when i boot up my pc do not see the monitor : it say no connection found ,why after 5 years do it say this, the battery is fine the screen is blank

Is your "PC" actually a Laptop (as it has a battery)?

If so, there is normally a keypress - the Fn key plus another key - which will toggle between the built-in screen, an external monitor or both. It may be that the current setting is for an external monitor but with none attached, Windows doesn't find a connected monitor.

No i have a tower, the battery i said was the flat round one i think it a bios , but that was ok , it is strange as i have been using the pc for 5 years and it just deceided not to show very frustrating
