Editing DVD to upload to internet
      #440545 - Wed Oct 21 2009 11:53 AM

I have a DVD which is of the family swimming with dolphins in America early this year.
I want to edit the video so that I can add it to my facebook profile and let family see it.
I've tried to do this with Windows Movie maker but this doesn't work due to the fact the DVD menu is set up as Video-TS and Audio-TS files.
All I basically want to do is to take out the parts of the video that do not involve us.
Is there a free piece of software that would allow me to do this?

Something like DVDx should be able to rip the DVD to an AVI file, maybe even a WMV. Then it'd be a matter of editing in WMM or Premiere Elements and outputting it to a suitable format for uploading.
