As many of you are aware opening a "New tab" on Google Chrome with the Mini tab"+" brings up thumbnails of "It claims" the Most visited Pages on the Browser Until I discovered this Tip I had a badge image of a WW2 Veterans association (for a game I play) from about 6 months ago And I only visited that page once!
To continue, You can right and left click on them to open the "Link" or inspect the Content with "View Element" (similar to View Source on Windows) OK for the Very technical minded No use to most of us Try waving the mouse pointer over a Thumbnail you like. Does a blue Border bar appear on top of the image? There are 2 icons on this bar The one on the left Pins the Image so It cannot be overwritten by a newer image Thus it becomes a "Favourite"
The right Hand "X" Icon can delete an Icon but they give you a surprise The Icon is replaced with another Cached site Link Pic This is a 1 off other on all the links(I think its only good for 2 links? ) The next time its used the Image Tile is deleted Therefore if you open Chrome again, or are using Chrome often, another Site link will be shown here If its been opened.recently A 1 for 1 situation, Only see the blank space/s if you Manage to delete "Too far" You can edit even More Locate the " other Bookmarks folder " icon, top right of this window In Normal running underneath this there is Nothing to be seen but as soon as you open a "New Tab" for a new URL you may catch a glimpse of something Lets just click on the "Mini new tab" and hold it on the page There are 3 buttons, these are "key" to how this Page is displayed
Default is Displaying the Cached Thumbnailed URLs The left hand button switches this to a "Tool bar view" (with NO secondary editing Possible) Moving to the Middle Button this reduces the same to a List (Same editing remarks apply)
The Right hand "Change layout" Button is a short Preference Menu of 2 tick Items "Recently closed Items" .Keeps a URL Fresh for your Next visit ...Only works if you have a Blank Tile space or the other option "Most visited" is Unticked
The separate boxed item labelled "Restore all removed thumbnails" works only if the Computer has not been reset? (Needs verifying) BTW That wording sounds painful OW!
