For the last few weeks every time I turn on the Computer I get the following message.
Windows Registry Recovery One of the files containing the systems registry data had to be recovered by use of a log or alterate copy, The recovery was successful.
The only way to get rid of it is to click the cross in the top right corner. But it comes back every time I start up the computer. Apart from this message the computer works fine The O.S. is XP Home Can anyone please advise how to cure this?

Try using System Restore back to the most recent date before the problem occurred. That will restore your Registry settings to what they were and with any luck the problem will disappear.
If that doesn't work, you need to do some research on any changes you have recently made to your computer, such as installing new software, which might have caused the problem.
