hi there,forgive me if im being a bit thick.i made a system backup on an external hard drive,i have since restored it and it is all sitting in a folder on my desktop - can i restore internet favourites and email settings from this?i thought it would all go back to the way it was before i made the back up. any help would be appreciated. thanks p.s i reset my computer to factory settings after making the back up to get rid of a problem i had

You will not be able to import the email settings unless you previously exported them, but it’s not a mammoth task to set up the account again.
Favorites, again are normally exported/imported, but the whole folder can be copied from old location to new location. If I remember correctly, in XP it is located at C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Favorites. I also cannot remember if it is a hidden folder. If it is, go to Folder Options > View Tab and select Show hidden files and folders.
