Which anti virus, malware etc etc????
      #439879 - Sat Oct 10 2009 04:27 PM

Really would appreciate some help.

Can anybody advise regards the best free software for malware, virus etc etc. I'm working on a limited budget and just set up a business from home and cash is really tight. In addition, any help on the best spam filters would be ideal as i'm using outlook 2000.

My operating sytem is xp and i seem to be cluttered with all types of free software which ive downloaded over the years which whilst are free i think they duplicate themselves more often than not.

Many thanks

Antivirus: Avast

Anti Malware: Malwarebytes

To be rid of the free software clutter try: Decrapifier

All the above are free to use.

For a spam filter, check out your own ISP's webmail, there may be one provided.

Avira is generally thought of to be the 'best' free antivirus in terms of detection rates.
