Formula Jimweb 2004
      #43987 - Wed Feb 18 2004 11:11 AM

My free fantasy F1 competition, Formula Jimweb has relaunched for 2004

For this site I have gone for a more minimalist approach, using Dreamweaver for the home page but Frontpage for the registration form, as it seems to handle this better. This new look is a different design concept to my main homepage which was recently updated.

Hope you enjoy the new look, its not designed to be spectacular, I considered using Flash but was put off by the search engines not liking Flash (I figured I needed the search engines more than I needed a Flash design)

Hope you like it, the sites address is http://www.jimwebf1.co.uk/formulajimweb

Please give me any comments on it, and register I you wish.

Tested in IE6 56k modem 800x600. Loads nice and fast. Main content seems to be offset to one side - might look better centred. I would probably want more info before registering. Good luck with it.

Clean and simple design, good stuff. One thing I'd say:

You're brief rules are longer than the full ones!

And for some reason, I looked at it in Mozilla and it just showed me the html code. Works fine in IE (6 at least). Have you saved the file with a .html extension because I think Mozilla thinks it's a text file and is displaying it as such, rather than interpretting it as HTML.

Yes I agree that the Brief rules are longer, but thats becuase they are the rules that everyone who registers needs to know. Whereas the Full rules are added bits such as bonus scoring which only people who are serious about doing well need to read. So yes I should have named them better...

As for the mozzila thing could that be something to do with me using a frontpage form for the registration page? (the other pages are done in dreamweaver)

I found that the frontpage form system was easier to implement so i used that, but I was unaware of any browser problems.

Thank you for your comments
