The supply of WebUser to the Shops has dried up in the Wigan/Leigh /Ormskirk areas This has been happening since the end of Summer and the only place I found a copy was in a small paper shop I don't go into often ( mid-summer ...had 2 copies) With the looming national postal strike, can you make sure the North West has a supply (In the shops) to make up for the Non delivery or very late Delivery times. Thank you. NOTE WH Smith and John Menzies have had nothing in months I'm sure Many of us would pick up a copy from the shop, and you can suspend all deliveries until the dispute is over (credit us with the missing copies) Any Copies left to be posted will be those which are sent abroad.

Are you sure WHS have had nothing in months? They are about the only retailer you can rely on to have copies available in my locality, problem is they 'hide' them.
Yesterday, grocery shopping day, call in to WHS for news and mags. Down on knees to bottom shelf on floor level, at the back there's the current issue WebUser. Now I could understand if this was the procedure for past sell by monthly mags, but new issue?
Still, in the same town no other retailer stocks WebUser, including Morrison and Asda, (sometimes), so beggars can't be choosers.
Before anyone suggests, I prefer buying over the counter, it gets me out of the house, irrespective of saving £1.50 or whatever is the subs saving these days.
Next time you are out, check out WHS, get down your hands and knees. (if you can), and take a peek at the contents of bottom shelf!

I often find that too, it is certainly worth checking the larger WHS stores very carefully and looking in unusual places my other pet hate is when some kind soul has covered the copies up with a Mac mag or somesuch.
Our local ASDA used to run an unofficial back issue service with up to three issues of web user in various places on along the aisle!

Our nearest town, with a population of fewer than 5000, has at least 3 shops where you can buy WU. It may be more, but I haven't checked.
On the other hand, a few miles out of town, there is a large garage with an award-winning Londis shop where they don't stock any computer magazines at all! However, if you like tractors.... I had no idea there could possibly be so many mags about tractors!

They took over the old Forbouys branches in the North West then in a roundabout way they are now renamed Forbuoys Many of us still cal it Menzies locally This area has also has the Smiths Menzies tag contest There were 3 Main outlets now there are 2 (Our town drew the short straw) And they are really Poor to what they were a few years ago.

Just went exploring the Backs of WH Smiths shelves in Wigan And I pulled out whatever was on Hand and B)I even climbed under the shelf at 1 point .Am not so tall so I can get away with that Result .....NOWT! Found Some obscure Computer Mags from abroad As to Our Rival, they have a Display in an Orange Tub hooked over the Front of the shelf at chest level ...With a Sticker on it One wonders Do you have to pay over the odds for a Simple "Promotion" feature like that?

I used to go to John Menzies on Salford precinct back in the day, but it shut down years ago, so when you mentioned it, I thought they had reopened as I would've nipped in.

Do we have a member from W.H. Smith's on here. Making my regular weekly call today, there was the new WebUser on display, prime position, second shelf at eye level. never been known.
Coincidence?
