Agfa 1212u Scanner - Can it work on XP?

I'm trying to buck a trend maybe it's a fact?

I got a scanner through "Freegle" where people are giving away stuff and I was quite chuffed to get this scanner. But I'm finding that some people are saying it doesn't work with XP.

Two things. I want to download the necessary software to get it working, but where can I get the software. Is there a work around?
