I have had my laptop for about 4/5 months and apart from a problem a while back when it decided to just stop downloading anything, it has been fine.....untill now. In the middle of working on a document that i then went to save the computer totally locked up and since then will hang or lock up continously not allowing me to access anything at all. It will however pull up programmes and files that i have not even tried to open. I am getting varios messages such as "microsoft windows not responding", "Vista registration has stopped working". As well as this the speakers are not functioning and the mouse and touch pad work intermittently. I have tried system restore, no joy, and opened in safe mode which is fine but i am not experianced enough to troubleshoot to the problem from there.
Please help this is driving me nuts.
While writing this on the desktop i have in fact opened the laptop in last working configuration and it is doing a lot better though a little slow to respond, but at least i have access.

The problem was caused by open office, having removed and reinstalled all appears ok for now.
