Apple Mac to Msdos
      #439688 - Wed Oct 07 2009 02:45 PM

A friend and Mac user sometimes forwards e-mail to me. I can't read them as it is all in code. He says I'm the only non mac user to whom he forwards messages that can't read them.
I've tried saving but it remains in code. What am I doing wrong that all the others appear to be doing correctly

I use both a Mac and Windows and there shouldn't be any difference in the transmission of email messages, with or without attachments.

Which email program is he using (the Mac "Mail" program?) and which are you using?

Is it possible to copy/paste the "code" into a forum reply with, in particular, the "header" at the start of the code? There are several ways in which attachments can be encoded, the most common being MIME, but there are also UUencoding, binhex etc. and it might be an incompatibility between his encoding method and what your program supports.
