Has anybody any Idea why the Address bar on Google Chrome Changes Colour occasionally? Is it to do with the security control I've had Yellow for a "HTTPS://" site (with the padlock ) Sometimes the site URL has the Padlock (No colour! ) Moving away I've seen Green , Yellow and Red Sites ...Is this linked to Site Advisor? (Have been able to surf a red site) No Indication what it refers to and Have not come across a "blocked" site yet on the Browser But give Google credit I have seen several Spammy (or worse?) sites Blocked by their Site controls And a Message is displayed .If You see something on Google which is Not acceptable They have a reporting Page you can leave details on which is a bit awkward to get to (Could do better Google!) http://tinyurl.com/gshrp06o
IE 8.0 does the same thing, but only plays with Yellow and Red. Yellow I saw on a "secure" site ,maybe 1 other ordinary website with an expired or non existant Security certificate? However the Red site colour banner Produced a window with a warning message.and was unable to surf I don't think it was on the IE restricted Sites List (Populated by Spywareblaster regulary) worth checking .Other source's Site Advisor? Or an internal Black List on Microsofts Server?

Google Chrome website security:
If Google Chrome detects that the website you're trying to access will securely transmit data using SSL, you'll see the following:
* The background colour of the address bar changes to gold. * The 'https' in the URL appears in green for websites with SSL-secured connections established. * A lock icon lock icon appears at the end of the address bar. If a SSL-secured connection cannot be established, then you'll see an alert icon alert icon at the end of the address bar, among other possible browser warnings. You can click the icon to open the 'Security information' dialog box and see more information.
Internet Explorer website security:
The address bar features a colour code to visually indicate the trustworthiness of the page. The address bar turns red when a page, with invalid security certificate, is accessed. In case of sites not using any encryption, the address bar is white. And if the page uses high security certificate, the bar turns green.
