I'm using Virgin Broadband and am meant to be getting a 10mb connection, but it frequently times out (usually in the evenings), and it is starting to get on everyone's nerves within our household. Using Windows Vista, I attempt to repair the connection, and it comes up with a message saying, 'Could not resolve a DNS, please contact your ISP'. I have done so, and they say that nothing is wrong with it, but it is still happening.
Can anyone help in this matter?
Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Hi,
When I had this problem it was resolved when virgin supplied me with a modem that connected directly to my pc, then the modem connected to my set top box and then off to the big wide web.
Hope this helps.
