Google Chrome update
      #439394 - Thu Oct 01 2009 03:38 AM

There's a new stable version of the browser available. It's version 3.0.195.24 and you should be able to get it via the browser's updater. If not, try here.

Madeline
I have updated thanks ...Filehippo has still not shown any stable Version 3's Has Shown 2 Version 4 Betas since version 3 went "stable"
So the Chrome users who do not use the update link on the Program will recieve their Update via the Auto Update Notifications (Google Updater) which Unless their firewall is Blocking this will be in about a weeks time

It's weird about FileHippo. I had a look there before I posted the link above. I think it's useful to have a link for people who decide to get Chrome for the first time.

To those looking in, here is the best workaround for the time Being

If you have it installed you can either get your Update on the "about Google chrome" link on the program ,wait about a week and it Auto updates or C) Get your update from the CNET site http://tinyurl.com/cnet-chrome

I was wrong about the date. Somebody posted (on another forum) that they got the auto update today, which is 4 or 5 days after Posting . I wonder if that is the Norm or is it a fluke?

Version 3.0.195.25 has been downloaded to my computer today, last was Version 3.0.195.24

No sign on Filehippo again bar a New Update to version 4 - 4.0.221.6 Beta with a handful of changes (would not be surprised if they are trying to synchronise the changes on some updates?)

The same thing happened to me yesterday, I've now got version 3.0.195.25 too. I didn't realise it was updating at first as it did so without notifying me. I thought it was taking a long time to load my home page, then my firewall popped up wanting me to allow the new version!

Add support to blacklist the faux www.paypal.com certificate. Added NTLMv2 support on Windows. FFmpeg files now properly have NX/DBCompat enabled. ([The] issue will be made public once this release is fully deployed). V8 crash fix,” revealed Anthony Laforge, Google Chrome program manager.

My version of Google Chrome is now 3.0.195.27.

I don't understand why FileHippo don't have any of the stable issues of version 3xx on their site, it's very odd. The most recent stable version they have on offer is the somewhat out of date version 2.0.172.43 issued on 26/08/09!
