Hi guys
I have an ethernet cable running from my sky router in my lounge to another room where my PC and Xbox 360 are. Someone kindly advised that I use a network switch so I can get them both online at the same time.
I would imagine all switches do the same job but just to be sure, will this switch be ok for use with my xbox? : Ebuyer Thank guys

Yes, that will do what you require.

Hi Thanks for your help. recieved the switch today and this allows both machines on the net at the same time. The only problem i have now is, I am unable to share media. My PC can see my xbox but the xbox cannot see the PC.My firewall has been disabled but still no joy

Have you actually set any folders in the PC that you want to have available over the network as "shared"?
I don't know anything about an Xbox and what interface it has but, in another PC, I'd suggest entering the path to the remote computer directly into the address bar in "My Network Places" in the format:
\\computer_name
\\computer_name\shared_folder
Can you do something similar with an Xbox?

It is different, it works by using media player on the PC and it is supposed to stream to the XBOX. Cant get it to work. Oh well, both machines are sat next to each other anyway.
Thanks anyway
