My laptop has taken to automatically playing a CD in windows media player and I would like it to default to "ask me what to do", with a list of different options.
I have been into the autoplay settings via My Computer but altering them there seems to have no effect (even after re-booting the laptop).
If I go into the hardware settings, there is no "settings" tab for the CD-Rom drive.
Can someone help me please - it may be a registry feature that has got corrupted? I've searched online for similar problems but nothing seems to spring out at me!
