Hi All,
regarding the feature concerning the BT I-Plate on the homepage.
I recently purchased the said product from BT.com,.
BT called it a " BT Broadband Accelerator".
The plate was very easy to fit, and did make a significant difference to my otherwise slow broadband speed.
The " Accelerator" cost me £1.20 from BT.com ??? which they said could take up to 4 weeks to arrive. I got it 3 days later..
I'm not suggesting that this is the best thing since sliced bread, but it did make a difference for me. Don't know if it works for everybody?? but at £1.20 it was worth the risk.
BT say that it can make a difference of about 0.5 - 1.5Mbps. my connection ( on a good day) was just under 2Mbps, after fitting the "Accelerator" it is now (on a good day) about 3.8Mbps.
I don't know why it has almost doubled, whether they have upgraded the service by coincidence or something, but as I say, for me at £1.20 it was worth the risk..
