Hi All I have had several attempts to install Firefox the install runs okay but when I click on the Firefox icon I get the following dialog box, The conection was reset while the page was loading The site could be temporily unavailable or busy If your computer is protected by a firewall or proxcy make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web" Would some one be kind enough to help me go about solving this problem with out being to technical Thanks

Is there anything useful here? Those are unusual messages to get before the browser even opens. Have a look here too.

Hi Madeline,. Tried all your suggetionn but not change at one instance I did get a couple of pages of Firefox but it never lasted I have even Uninstalled Firefox again tried disabling the firewall but no change just gets as far as the Icon on desktop click it and the dialog box appears with the same messagw i think it must be getting blocked by a Proxy but got no idea about them in any case thanks for your efforts Travelman

Hi Travelman,
The only other thing I can suggest is that you post your problem on the Firefox Support forum which allows anonymous/guest posting, so you don't have to register if you don't want to.
There are people there who are very knowledgeable about Firefox and hopefully they will be able to help you to solve your problem.

Madeline, Thanks for your help but my IT man called today I can not tell you what he did but Firefox is now working okay and I managed to install it on this laptop and again its working okay. many thanks travelman.
