Links in emails in Mailwasher not opening in my browser!!
      #438714 - Fri Sep 18 2009 06:40 PM

Hi
Ok, yesterday, i had Mailwasher v.2.0 working alongside Outlook Express 6.
When i clicked on a link in a mail in Mailwasher & i was using Firefox as my default browser, it would open another tab in the browser.

Today i've had an XP clean reinstall & am no using Mailwasher v.5.0.1 & the same browser, but when i click on a link in a mail, it opens up Internet Explorer in a new window.

Links in OE open up in Firefox as a new tab, but not links in Mailwasher!

Can anyone help please!!

Thanks

Have you rebooted and relaunched Mailwasher after setting Firefox as your default browser? There doesn't appear to be an option in Mailwasher to select the browser with which to open links, so it should use the default browser.

Hi
Yes, i think i did, i shall check again although i was using Mailwasher version 2.00 before & that worked fine, so i went back to that & it opens the links in FF.
I assumed the newer version would be better, not worse!!

I actually use Mailwasher Pro (version 6.5.3), so it may be a bug in the particular version that you had updated to.

Your Mailwasher really doesn't seem to be behaving as it should. If you select the "Sent" column as the one on which messages are sorted, that setting ought to be retained each time the program is launched and until you alter the setting.

It might be worth uninstalling Mailwasher completely, rebooting, reinstalling and then setting it up again from scratch.

Yes i know this should happen, the arrow next to the 'sent' tab is pointing down when i want it pointing up. If i change this, close the application & reopen it, it goes back to pointing down.
I doubt it is because its an old version as it worked on my old version of xp before it was reinstalled.
