My husband has just taken our new Vista Home premium wireless enabled laptop up to Glasgow and before he went , I installed the software and created an account with 3 PAYG mobile broadband and got £10 worth for 1 months connection. At home we are using BT HomeHub 2 to connect . He has phoned me to say that he can receive e-mails but cannot send them . He has tried to use the BTYahoo broadband and Incredimail. I suggested that he set up a Hotmail account which he used successfully last night, but then some one from 3 in India told him to change the connection ISP and told him to type in some strange number. If I ask him to right click on the the Internet Icon in the notification tray, is there a connection that he should be using for 3Mobile Broadband? Sorry if this sounds a bit garbled but although I have used Vista for some time my husband is completely new to computing and is beginning to panic . Any help that you can give will be very much appreciated. !

The problem lies with his email setup. When he was at home he would have used the BTYahoo server to send mail. Now he's in Glasgow he will need to change his SMTP address to use the 3 server. It will be either one of these two - smtp-mbb.three.co.uk or smtp.three.co.uk - probably the latter. I assume he is using Windows Mail so he will have to go into Properties and change it. Can you talk him though that process or do you want more info?

Thanks for getting back so quickly! I will try and talk him through it , if not I can see me dashing up the motorway to Glasgow ! Thanks again.
