Hi
I recently got prompted to install the latest Windows Live messenger or i couldn't use it.
It started to install & the after 100%, it rolled back & said :-
Could not open key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WINDOWS\Current Version\Drivers32. verify i have sufficient access to that key.
Please close all programmes & try again. It looks like a programme is preventing installer from working. hr.0x80070643.
I have no programmes open when i install!
Should i uninstall old version 1st?

When you install there is a little button right at the end asking if you want it to close any open programs have you used that?
Have to say I haven't really worked out what has changed on the messenger client, presumably it was a security issue that is 'fixed'.
