I have always had an ambition to set up a business on line. A few years ago I attended a course run by the local college on web design. However att he time I had a full time job, was caring for my elderly father with Alzheimer's so didn't have too much time left.
I have just lost my job, so have more time
Although not my top priority att his very moment, i do want to learn more about web design etc.
there are numerous internet sites, which will sell you a domain name, then offer a simple web design program to use.
Several other 'free' software packages are available.
I was involved in the set up of my previous emplyers web site (the wording etc) but the actual web site was constructed using the Dreamwever software.
Is this a better package than the freebie stuff .. well obviously it must be, but are there any other good packages, which would be suitable for a business site

Have a look at NetObjects Essentials it's free Link Here if you download the getting started under Documentation it's in pdf, it will give you an idea how to use the program and if it's up to your requirements or not.

I think I'll try and get Dreamweaver and take it from there. Sure it'll take a bit of effort at first, but hey, if something is worth doing, it's worth doing right.

It's a lot money to spend for the full program when your just starting,
but if you have used it before and your happy with it that's what counts.
